I Protest!!! Vigorously!!!!

  • Pink captures President Bush's callous disregard with heart-rending accuracy. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
  • Jackson Brown's new song is fabulous! Lives in the Balance truly touches on the choices facing America today.
  • An Arlo Guthrie classic! You'd be amazed at how it fits our modern war ethics.
  • Bruce Hornsby's finest. We are treating the Katrina survivors the same way.
  • By Phil Ochs. Not what you'd think. He wrote it following the murder of three civil rights workers in the mid '60's. Still pertinent today, I fear.
  • This one's by Lindsay Buckingham. All hail the 4th estate!
  • Song by the late, great Harry Chapin. It references Vietman, but remains pithy.
  • By Bright Eyes. One of the best protest songs to come along in years.
  • From the musical, 1776.
Check it out - the reference may be Revolutionary War era, but the sentiment rocks!

Yummmm! That sounds incredibly delicious.

That's a good idea, not including the amounts. People do have different tastes.

It sounds like it would be tasty without all the alcohol burned off, too;)

Sigrid Jardin

Wow! That does sound fabulous. And I really enjoyed your courtship story too! It adds another flavor to your recipe!

My brother worked in an upscale restaurant for a while (he is a fabulous cook) and Bananas Foster became his specialty, to be broken out on family occasions. We love it!

Yes indeed, it is a taste delight.

When the picture first popped up on my screen before the words arrived I thought you had posted a porn pick. LOL then the words fixed it.

I can't wait to try this recipe...I have had this same dish at the Wellington in the New Sanno and the presentation was only surpassed by its heavenly taste.

I have asked for this dish every chance I get, but nothing ever comes close...Like I said before...I can't wait to try this recipe!

Dear David -

Thanks for stopping by! I wish you luck with the recipe. I have very fond memories of Wellington’s. Not to mention that very fine Japanese style restaurant located in the same complex (Kikuya). Both their Shabu-shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ) and Sukiyaki (すき焼き) was to die for! Please let me know how the Bananas Foster turns out!

Please visit again any time…
