I Protest!!! Vigorously!!!!

  • Pink captures President Bush's callous disregard with heart-rending accuracy. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
  • Jackson Brown's new song is fabulous! Lives in the Balance truly touches on the choices facing America today.
  • An Arlo Guthrie classic! You'd be amazed at how it fits our modern war ethics.
  • Bruce Hornsby's finest. We are treating the Katrina survivors the same way.
  • By Phil Ochs. Not what you'd think. He wrote it following the murder of three civil rights workers in the mid '60's. Still pertinent today, I fear.
  • This one's by Lindsay Buckingham. All hail the 4th estate!
  • Song by the late, great Harry Chapin. It references Vietman, but remains pithy.
  • By Bright Eyes. One of the best protest songs to come along in years.
  • From the musical, 1776.
Check it out - the reference may be Revolutionary War era, but the sentiment rocks!

Got 4 cats and a one-eyed dog myself. The cats regard the dog as Mommy and Cappy, (dog) takes care of her cats.

And some say animals are "dumb"! At least they can learn to live together and get along, eh?

Aw...those two sound funny. Big dog scared of little cat:) Your furry critters look awfully cute.

The Fat Lady Sings

They are all very cute indeed! Tonight Inky curled up next to Ginger and tried to make pillows on her rear end – quite enthusiastically, I might add. His sharp little claws must have annoyed her, because Ginger kept schoonching away, with Inky right behind. Eventually Ginger snapped at poor Inky and he stopped - but he didn't understand it. The minute Ginger got down off the bed - there was Inky following right behind. Sometimes I start singing “Me and My Shadow”. I think this will probably go on for as long as they both live. I was hoping Ginger would warm up to the idea – but I kinda doubt it. If she was of a mind to tolerate Inky’s adoring behavior, she would of by now. Ah well. If nothing else – it’s fun to watch!

These are all great picture how so lovely this all funny picture.
