I Protest!!! Vigorously!!!!

  • Pink captures President Bush's callous disregard with heart-rending accuracy. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
  • Jackson Brown's new song is fabulous! Lives in the Balance truly touches on the choices facing America today.
  • An Arlo Guthrie classic! You'd be amazed at how it fits our modern war ethics.
  • Bruce Hornsby's finest. We are treating the Katrina survivors the same way.
  • By Phil Ochs. Not what you'd think. He wrote it following the murder of three civil rights workers in the mid '60's. Still pertinent today, I fear.
  • This one's by Lindsay Buckingham. All hail the 4th estate!
  • Song by the late, great Harry Chapin. It references Vietman, but remains pithy.
  • By Bright Eyes. One of the best protest songs to come along in years.
  • From the musical, 1776.
    Check it out - the reference may be Revolutionary War era, but the sentiment rocks!

Damn honey I'm so sorry to hear things have gotten worse for you; I thought you already suffered much too much. :-( I hope your doc will find a way to get you the testing you need without surgery. I've heard of people who awaken during surgery and I was horrified to know it happens! Good luck my dear, please keep us posted as you can. I've got you firmly in my prayers.

Get well soon - and avoid the doctors at all costs. This is no joke - doctors are now the leading cause of death in the US - ahead of all cancers and heart disease!
Avoid them like the plague and find an alternative practitioner;
The way things are going we'll all need the fat lady to sing fairly soon!

They're starting to deal with this reality - putting sensors on patients while they are in surgery to monitor their brain waves (shoulda been done from the start!!!!!). I know you live in a very backwards area, maybe if you could get any needed surgery done in your nearest big city????

Anyhoo hope you're feeling better, and thanks for that post - hilarious!
